Four local, professional arts women, Lou Anne Colodny, Gina Cunningham, Colleen Farnum and Jane Hart have organized an emergency protest against Trump’s anti-immigration ban by opening this exhibition and dance performance honoring the urgent plight of immigrants. for all boat people, is Gina Cunningham’s poetic tribute to immigration. Handmade “boats” representing transition and migration are featured in photographs, video, site-specific installation and performance. This exhibition is an homage to all immigrants and implies a reference to all marginalized people by representing a cross section of such peoples from around the world. Recently, Cunningham was a participant/witness at the DAPL Pipeline protest at Standing Rock, North Dakota in support of the water protectors. She is sharing her experience there with the Miami audience. Guests are invited to bring small offerings to contribute to a large scale installation within the gallery which is dedicated to the reverence of all such displaced and disregarded people.

Colleen Farnum & her Atma dancers with notable guests and immigrants will perform for all boat people 6:15 made possible by the generosity and trust of Lou Anne Colodny curated with love and experience by Jane Hart.
