In collaboration with Richard Martinez, Dancer and Choreographer Ana Mendez will create a sculptural installation / gathering place for an imagined future culture of humans who have found a way to reintegrate themselves as active participants with Nature.
Known primarily for her performances, BFI is delighted to present Mendez’s first stand-alone sculptural installation. This project will serve as a counterpoint both to her performance for her WEIRD MIAMI bus tour, as well as her commission from the Miami Light Project as part of their “Here & Now” Festival, May 8-17th.
