Join us for music, drinks, and food at the enchanting Little Farm House and let us introduce to you Fall Semester 2016!

Fall Semester launched in 2014 with our first iteration, “Testing Grounds.” We invited speakers from a wide range of fields–architecture, philosophy, art criticism, technology– to discuss the globalized city in a two day seminar and open forum as well as an online platform. This year we present iteration two, “Identity Politics,” and begin to focus on our long-term plans for ongoing “Semesters,” development of newer projects, and the publication of our first book.

Fall Semester is the project of artists Andrew Horton, Felice Grodin, Odalis Valdivieso, Angela Valella, Marcos Valella, and Antonia Wright. Arising from common trajectories within their individual practices, they have jointly developed an organizational strategy to unite the contributors discussions into a cohesive program providing a level for both speakers and attendees.

Please consider bringing a guest who may be interested in our mission, or if you can reach out to them to let them know about us, we would love to meet them. Fall Semester seeks to maintain the integrity of our mission by giving our guests a place to speak without pressure, and we need the support of our friends and community to make it happen.

Hope to see you there!

You won’t like to miss our initial music selection prepared by artist Andrew Horton and the DJ of the night, artist Alan Gutierrez!

This iteration will be possible by the support of Miami Design District, ICA, The Little Farm House, Freehand Miami, and Millares. Additional support for Fall Semester 2016 is provided by Cannonball through its WaveMaker Grants program, which is part of the Andy Warhol Foundation’s Regional Regranting Program. WaveMaker Grants is supported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
