“The Invisible Woman” Photography Exhibit featuring the work of a select group of women artists will be presented by ConcreteSpace Art Projects in honor of International Women’s Day.
The exhibit includes photographs by Niloufar Banisadr, Peggy Nolan, Priscilla Forthman, Sheila Elias, Mirta Gómez, Alexandra del Canto, Gloria O’Connell, Angelika Rinnhofer, Lissette Schaeffler and a live photography performance by Carolina Bonnelly. The exhibition is curated by Carol Damian, Ph.D., former director of the Frost Art Museum and an internationally-recognized art historian.
International Women’s Day, first observed in the early 1900s, celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. A global event, it includes a call for gender parity. This year’s theme is #PressforPower.
